Let Your Thoughts Flow Friday--
This Friday caps off a long (but good week for me) with a good (but busy) weekend ahead. We are celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday, and I’m so excited to see all of my family! We are going to play kid’s party games and just have a great time being with each other. I hope you enjoy the poem above. I wrote it during a time period where I was coming out of a difficult headspace. Sometimes it can be hard to remember hope when it feels long gone, but when it comes back? The relief is incredible and palpable. I’d love to hear something about your week- comment below and let me know how you’re doing.
The pen I used in this post is from Carolina Pen Company and it’s made in Jonathon Brooks’ Primary Manipulation 5 material (it’s so SPARKLY)! As always my friends, thank you for being here. I wish you a peaceful weekend ahead.
Coming Back
Joy creeping back in
Slowly.
Steadily.
Surely.
Hope on the precipice of my battered brain-
You showed up before I even knew
what was happening.
Like a window thrown open to a dazzling light-
There you were.
Relief, finally.
Hints of joy, finally.
A bit of hope— finally.
